Nick Sunderman and Michael Huff started Centre as two friends with common interests creating a cultural outlet for all things fashion, music and sport. The pair created numerous programs that have helped local designers and creatives launch their ideas and brands. Along with serving as a key platform for young creatives the past 15 years in Texas, Centre has been able to initiate their own responsible manufacturing processes, including their upcycle program which was designed to minimize waste and curate special one of one pieces. Centre leveraged this upcycle program with the Modelo collection by refurbishing flannels and denim jackets, along with customizing co-branded trucker hats.

The Modelo x Centre collection is inspired by the fighting spirit of the art, music and fashion culture in Austin, Texas. Leaning into pieces that are authentic to Texan culture, the Centre team put an elevated flare on the items to tie into the local community.

Nick Sunderman at Centre says, “Our collection with Modelo is one of our favorite projects we’ve ever done, as it allowed us to leverage our Centre Upcycled campaign and refurbish, redesign and customize some nostalgic Texas pieces including the flannel and denim jacket. We are so excited to be working with Modelo and carrying the torch to embody “the fighting spirit”. This partnership truly describes what’s inside the hearts of our team, as we are making something special out of the canvas Modelo has given us.”
